Collaborations

In early 2013 YouScience was preparing to launch as an organization with a nationwide reach that provided services to individuals making educational and career investments. YouScience recognized the value of assessing natural strengths, and so the two organizations discussed ways in which the Ball Aptitude Battery could be included in their suite of career assessment offerings. A key part of our collaborations is that The Ball Foundation receives anonymous aptitude data to add to our analysis history.

In 2007 The Ball Foundation established an annual licensing arrangement with CareerBuilder. The CareerBuilder site focused on providing working adults with career assessments and other best practice resources. CareerBuilder was interested in a Job Satisfaction instrument that provided users with a real-time, personalized, high quality, brief and free report featuring distinct dimensions of job satisfaction.

In response to CareerBuilder’s needs, The Ball Foundation modified the report format of the 37-item Job Satisfaction Survey to include summary results on four dimensions of job satisfaction. CareerBuilder programmed the item and report content and hosted the Job Satisfaction Survey. This annual license agreement was renewed each year until 2014.

is a partnership that was founded by National Council for Teachers of English and the Ball Foundation to celebrate the work of successful school teams across the country who are achieving remarkable results in advancing literacy learning and to share those learnings with education policymakers. is a model for shared leadership and decision-making was developed in partnership with the University of Illinois to increase student achievement and parent satisfaction.

were established to improve productivity in the school system. The Foundation provided the guidance and early funding for these model schools. Sites were developed in Springfield Illinois, and two schools established in the Phoenix Arizona area. While no longer affiliated with The Ball Foundation, Arizona has opened a third school using a similar model. Springfield Ball Charter, Hearn Academy, Val Vista and Dobson Academy are all Ball Charter schools.
